I don’t care if you’re the best photographer.  I don’t even care if you shoot JPEG.  I care that you put yourself in situations to be successful and not bitch that you don’t know how to get discovered or seen.  No one said it’s going to be easy to make it as a creative.  Hell, do we ever really make it?  

Here’s what you need to do if you want to give yourself a better chance of making it.  You need to get out of your head, get out of your house, get out of your comfort zone and make it happen.  Find charitable groups and donate your photography skills in exchange for access to the top donors.  Make yourself seen, make yourself stand out, be something that people remember.  Even if it’s not the best work in the world, if you’re personable and people remember you, you will have a fighting chance. 

No more excuses that you don’t know what to do, or somehow there’s a secret method to being successful.  Get seen and get seen now.  Make connections with everyone and anyone. Make yourself a success.
